YOUTH HOCKEY PROGRAMS
Pre-Hockey learn to skate
No skating experience necessary! Learn how to balance and skate unassisted. This 45-min. class is for figure skaters, hockey players or recreational skaters. Skate rental is available for an additional $1.50 per week. 10-Rental Cards available for $10 ($5 savings!). Each additional family member discount: $5 R / $6 NR.

HOCKEY DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMS
The NEW H-F Hockey Development Program is not just for beginners anymore! With a newly structured format of four levels - Bronze, Silver, Gold & Platinum - boys and girls ages 3-14 can learn to skate, develop skills or improve upon existing skills. Skaters can start at any of the four levels based on skills, age or recommendation from instructors. Using USA Hockey instructional techniques, skaters will see improvement and have fun doing it. The program philosophy is to create a fun environment for skaters of all levels to build skills and excel while learning one of the best games ever played!
Fee: $65 R / $70 NR

Session 2 : Nov. 3-Dec. 13
Bronze Hockey
Boys and girls will learn skating fundaments at their own pace. Balance and confidence, forward and backwards skating, transitions, proper starting and stopping techniques, and turning will be emphasized. All 45-min. classes will be held on the Studio Rink.
Pre-requisite: Learn to Skate class completed or ability to be on the ice unassisted. Equipment required: Hockey skates, stick, elbow pads, helmet, shin pads, and gloves.

Silver Hockey
Continued emphasis on skating techniques and skills. Puck control and puck handling skills will be taught; skating with the puck, turning with the puck, making and receiving passes, dribbling the puck laterally, side to side and diagonally. Open ice carrying individually and against defensemen will be taught as well. All 45-min. classes will be held on the Studio Rink.
Pre-requisite: Bronze level completion, 1+ years skating experience, or participation in first year of Mite program. Equipment: Helmet, elbow pads, shoulder pads, shin guards, hockey pants, gloves, stick, and hockey skates are required.
