Learn how to swim. Take a trip to a play. Join in a sports league. Enjoy conversation over lunch. Whatever your interest, Homewood-Flossmoor Park District has a program, class, activity or special event for you!
Park District programs* are offered in a variety of categories:
Adults:
- 55 & Better: Features programs and classes for adults. Highlights include the “Let’s Do Lunch” program spotlighting area speakers and entertainment; outdoor activities; craft programs and more.
- Learn at Your Leisure: Classes include workshops, arts and crafts quilting, knitting and more.
- Sports & Fitness: Athletic activities feature sporting leagues, group exercise, yoga, professional lesson programs and more.
- Trips: Join us on escorted trips to area attractions and cultural activities.
Before & After School Care:
A.M. Club & Extra Innings are cooperative programs between the Park Districts and School Districts 153 and 161. Quality care for your child in a safe environment.
Dance:
Programs for adults and children. Learn classic, trendy and ethnic dances. We have all new chidren's programs, including a new class that culminates in a fall recital.
Ski Trips:
Ski the local slopes with us! Escorted day and overnight trips for all ages.
Special Events:
Our special events include Starry Nights Concerts featuring well-known entertainers, parent-child events, Egg Hunt, Breakfast with Santa, doggie special events and more.
Summer Camps:
We’re your headquarters for summer fun! Available for ages 2 and older. Camps offered include: day camps, variety camps, sports camps, theatre camp, nature camps, lifeguard camp, Hobo Jungle, computer camp and more!
Youth:
- Fine Arts: Perfect for your budding artist! Programs featuring drawing, painting, sculpture, knitting and more.
- Gymnastics & Tumbling: Learn coordination, balance and poise during these popular classes.
- Teens: From social events and open gyms to trips and dances, our Teen programs feature adult supervision and positive activities.
- Toddlers & Preschoolers: classes offered for children 6 months and older. Learn socialization, coordination and communication skills. Park District Preschool is offered year-round for 3- and 4-year olds.
- Sports & Leisure: Choose from a myriad of options including lessons, leagues and instruction programs.
*Note: Some classes described are not offered each season.

When will I receive my brochure in the mail?
Park District classes are offered seasonally in the Winter, Spring, Summer and Fall.
